Welcome To My Bookshelf

Reading has become one of the greatest gifts of my second half of life. Every book on this page is one I’ve personally enjoyed and recommend. Some may inspire you, some will make you think, some will make you laugh, and a few may even bring you to tears. The Second Half is a great time to pick up a book!

I've always had a soft spot for stories about sisters, probably because I have daughters of my own. There's something so special about the bond between sisters—the loyalty, the love, and the way they carry each other through life's hardest moments. This story reminded me just how powerful those relationships can be. This is one of those historical fiction books that stay with you.

This was one of those books that completely pulled me in. I loved how it blended history, mystery, and emotion into a story that kept me turning the pages. If you enjoy historical fiction with strong female characters, family secrets, and a touch of suspense, I think you'll really enjoy this one. It made me think about how the choices of one generation can echo through the next.

One of my favorite things about this book is that it appealed to more than one generation in my family. My 22-year-old daughter loved it just as much as I did, which doesn't always happen! It's the kind of novel that sparks great conversations because each generation connects with the characters in a different way. Historical fiction and a lesson on strong women shared with my daughter? Sign me up!

The story has everything I look for—a beautiful coastal setting, family relationships that feel real, and characters you can't help but root for. I found myself slowing down just to soak in the atmosphere, almost like I was spending the summer right alongside them. If you're looking for an emotional, feel-good read with family, love, second chances, and a charming Southern setting, I'd definitely recommend

Beautifully written, emotional, and full of unexpected twists that kept me turning the pages. If you enjoy stories about love, family, and the complicated choices that can shape and entire left, I highly recommend adding this one to your reading list,

I couldn’t put this one down. One of the best amnesia tropes I’ve ever read. Emotional without being overly heavy, it pulls you into the characters lives, which feel incredibly real. You won’t regret it.

I really loved this book. It was a slow burn that was worth the wait! If you enjoy stories about the sometimes complicated mother-daughter bond, this is the read for you. It will stay with you long after you finished the last page.
