One of my favorite things about The Disappearance of Astrid Bricard is it appealed to more than one generation in my family. My 22-year-old daughter loved it just as much as I did, which doesn't always happen! It's the kind of novel that sparks great conversations because each generation connects with the characters in a different way. Historical fiction and a lesson on strong women shared with my daughter? Sign me up! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The story has everything I look for—a beautiful coastal setting, family relationships that feel real, and characters you can't help but root for. I found myself slowing down just to soak in the atmosphere, almost like I was spending the summer right alongside them. I couldn’t put this one down. Pictures of You is one of the best amnesia tropes I’ve ever read. Emotional without being overly heavy, it pulls you into the characters lives, which feel incredibly real. You won’t regret it.

I really loved this book. It was a slow burn that was worth the wait! If you enjoy stories about the sometimes complicated mother-daughter bond, this is the read for you. It will stay with you long after you finished the last page.
